Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy News Publishing Assistant to help in uploading, formatting, and posting news articles received from our journalists to our website. The ideal candidate is passionate about news, has a strong command of English, and is familiar with content management systems (CMS).
Key Accountabilities:
Upload and publish daily news articles to the AfriNews 247 website.
Ensure proper formatting, tagging, and categorization of articles.
Source and credit relevant images or media for each post.
Assist with curating headlines and meta descriptions for SEO.
Coordinate with the editorial team to maintain publishing schedules.
Monitor published content for accuracy, broken links, and layout issues.
Update or remove outdated content as directed.
Maintain the visual consistency and tone of the website.
